Qinyong Wang

I'm a Machine Learning Research Scientist at Meta, where I work primarily on recommendation systems. I also have experience with large language models and AI agents from past work and projects. I earned my CS PhD from Case Western Reserve University, focusing on machine learning research in medical imaging and knowledge graph-based text mining. I hold a bachelor's degree from Sun Yat-sen University and completed research internships at Pinterest and Amazon. I deeply believe that technology and AI can lead to a better future when used by kind people.

I enjoy all kinds of outdoor sports, including trail running, hiking, climbing, skiing, and sailing. Some of my expeditions include a 2,100km bike ride to Tibet and climbing 6,000+ meter mountains alpine style (small team, no guide, new route). I'm also passionate about photography—I'm a signed photographer with Getty Images and my works are sold by art agencies.
